00:31On the 9th, the Chief Minister of Pongal, Mr. Manmohan,

00:34gave a gift of 2.2 crores to Pongal.

00:40Since yesterday, we have given 1.47 crores to the families.

00:46So, we have given 67% to the families.

00:49Today, we are expecting to give 80% to the families.

00:56Tomorrow, our ration shops will open,

01:00and we have arranged for those who have left the shops.

01:07But today, my main objective,

01:10as we are in the other part of the country,

01:12is to open the DPC.

01:14This year, there will be a good growth for the farmers.

01:17We will have a lot of opportunities to cultivate.

01:25we do not have any limit to 1300 DPCs or 500 DPCs.

01:31Freedom should be given to the district government.

01:33When we look at the farmland,

01:37generally, the farmers are not ready to cultivate in some places.

01:42and the government officials are ready,

01:45but there is a starting delay.

01:47So, I am a slave to the farmland.

01:49The government wants us to start the DPC

01:54for all the farmers in the farmland.

01:58We have communicated this to all the districts.

02:01This DPC is in operation.

02:03Yesterday, we had 1,208 DPCs in operation.

02:07Today, we have more than 37 DPCs in Thanjavur.

02:12In all the places,

02:15if you are ready to cultivate,

02:17do not wait.

02:19This is the second problem in this field.

02:22If there is a DPC in an area,

02:24they can cultivate up to 1000 crops.

02:26If there is a lot of cultivation,

02:28immediately, we have the machines we need.

02:31We do not need 3300 machines everywhere.

02:36in that area, DPC 1 and DPC 2.

02:38We should not send the farmers back.

02:40We should not wait in the queue.

02:43Till now, we have procured 5.52 lakh metric tons.

02:49From September 1, 2013,

02:52we have procured 1321 crores for the farmers.

02:56In the next 2-3 months,

02:59we expect 30-35 lakh metric tons.

03:08For that, our department should be fully prepared.

03:11We should work with the collectors.
