00:12Kenneth, today is the start of the Comelec Checkpoint for the National and Local Elections

00:17and BARF and Parliamentary Elections.

00:20And this is one of the boundaries between Micawayan, Bulacan and Valenzuela City

00:25where the Comelec Checkpoints are being implemented.

00:30More than 1,400 checkpoints were laid out by the PNP that will operate 24 hours.

00:35The 38 Red Category Areas are included here,

00:38where 32 are from the Moro Autonomous Region,

00:422 from the Gayan and Bicol Region, and 1 from the Eastern Visayas.

00:47The PNP will place body-worn cameras for the transparency and accountability of the checkpoints.

00:53Four were caught by gunmen in Region 3, 6, 12 and BARMM

00:58who are coming out of the Comelec gunman based on the latest PNP report today.

01:02According to the Commission on Elections,

01:04even if the officials of the government are not allowed to cross the checkpoint,

01:08the Certificate of Exemption approved by the Comelec must be shown first.

01:16and you only have a license or a permit to carry firearms outside your residence,

01:23you can be charged by the Comelec with an election offense

01:26with 1 to 6 years imprisonment.

01:38Applications for the Certificate of Exemption from the Comelec can be submitted to the gunman
