systems.
00:02
In today's scenario, air and space power have become pivotal elements in shaping strategies.
00:09
With the rapid advancement of the niche and the cutting-edge technology incorporated with
00:16
artificial intelligence and machine learning systems, air and space assets now provide
00:24
an unprecedented advantage in battlefield scenarios.
00:30
Air and space power is the new frontier of the military dominance, which acts as a strategic
00:36
deterrence.
00:37
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight India's focus
00:45
on self-reliance through strategic partnership and technological collaborations in defense
00:51
sector and particularly in the aerospace sector.
00:56
In recent years, the Indian Government has brought about several transformative policy
01:01
reforms aimed at bolstering a robust defense industry ecosystem.
01:09
This includes initiatives that promote domestic design, development, manufacturing, and exports.
01:19
Given its strategic importance and vast potential, the Government of India has designated aerospace
01:28
as one of the core sectors of our Atmandarbar Bharat, our self-reliant mission.
01:34
As a result of this, the aerospace and defense sector in India is taking significant strides
01:43
in developing cutting-edge technology, both through public as well as private industry
01:49
participation.
01:52
India today can boast of having one of the largest defense industrial ecosystem in Asia,
02:00
and we are committed to further enhancing our capabilities.
02:05
We are among a select few nations capable of producing fourth-generation fighter aircrafts,
02:13
nuclear submarines, main battle tanks, and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
02:21
Apart from these major platforms, we are also successfully developing a number of the high-technology
02:27
subsystems and components, which are essential for the efficient performance of many equipment
02:34
and platforms.
02:36
Friends, we not only forge these machines, but more importantly, we believe in forging
02:44
partnership.
02:45
As a great Indian personality said, I can do things you cannot, you can do things I
02:55
cannot, but together we can do great things.
03:01
The Indian aerospace and defense sector represents an attractive opportunity for foreign companies
03:08
seeking to establish new ventures and partnership.
03:12
A recent example of this is the significant milestone of setting up of manufacturing facility
03:20
of C-295 aircraft for the Indian Air Force through collaboration between Tata Advanced
03:30
Systems Limited and Airbus Defense and Space.
03:35
This unique project has paved the way for enhanced private sector participation in aircraft
03:42
manufacturing and final assembly, and more of such projects are expected to follow in
03:49
future.
03:50
Friends, as India emerges as a leading voice of the Global South, as India emerges as a
03:57
leading voice for the Global South, we advocate for a multi-aligned policy approach that engages
04:03
multiple stakeholders.
04:06
This ensures that diverse views are considered in our collective pursuit of prosperity.
04:14
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has articulated India's commitment to addressing global challenges
04:20
through five guiding principles โ samman, or respect, sambad, or dialogue, sahyog, or
04:31
cooperation, shanti, or peace, and samriddhi, or prosperity.
04:39
In today's geopolitical landscape, fostering unity among like-mindedness is essential for
04:47
ensuring mutual prosperity and peace while addressing contemporary challenges.
04:54
India has all of which championed shared prosperity and shared responsibility.
