01:07I am very happy to inform you that an hour ago we successfully concluded the official

01:14engagements of the 18th Prabhasi Bharatiya Devas Convention in partnership with the State

01:21Government of Odisha.

01:23The cultural programs will however continue in the evening today when we will have a santur

01:29recital by Shri Abhay Rustam Sapori.

01:34The three-day 18th Prabhasi Bharatiya Devas Convention, as you know, started on 8th January

01:40and continued till today, that is the 10th of January.

01:44The theme for the PBD 2025 was diaspora's contribution to a vixit Bharat.

01:53It is customary to hold the youth PBD on the first day of every Prabhasi Bharatiya Devas

02:00Convention.

02:02Continuing with this tradition, the youth PBD was held on the first day, that is on

02:088th of January.

02:10The opening session of this event was addressed by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha,

02:16Shri Mohan Charan Majisal, Honorable External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jayashankar, Honorable

02:22Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandviaji, Honorable MOS for External

02:27Affairs, Shri Pavitra Margarita, Honorable MOS for Youth Affairs and Sports, Ms. Raksha

02:33Nikhil Khadse, and guest of honor of the 18th PBD, Dr. Dev Pragad, who is the CEO of Newsweek.

02:44The leaders spoke about the vital role and important contribution that the younger generation

02:50can make in the building of a vixit Bharat and India's global image.

02:57The first plenary session on the theme, Beyond Borders, Diaspora Youth Leadership in a Globalized

03:03World, was held thereafter, which was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Youth Affairs

03:09and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandviaji, and moderated by Shri Binni Bansal, the co-founder of Flipkart.

03:17The session focused on the transformative role of the diaspora youth in shaping a globalized

03:24world through leadership, innovation, and cultural diplomacy.

03:29The discussion highlighted the importance of India's diaspora youth as connectors between

03:35India and the global community.

03:38The Honorable Chief Minister of Orissa and the Honorable External Affairs Minister parallelly

03:43chaired a Prabhasi Bharatiya Business Leaders Meeting, which was addressed by both the leaders.

03:51The External Affairs Minister underlined the Government of India's steadfast commitment

03:57to Mission Purvodaya and the role of Orissa to its success.

04:03He highlighted Orissa's potential in the three Ts – trade, technology, and tourism – which

04:11makes it an excellent investment destination.

04:15The Honorable Chief Minister of Orissa spoke about what the state can offer to investors

04:20and businesspersons, such as a stable government, good law and order condition, infrastructure,

04:27skilled manpower, a friendly industrial policy, natural resources, etc.

04:33The State Government of Orissa made presentations on the investment opportunities available

04:38in the state.

04:41On the afternoon of the 8th January, the State Government of Orissa hosted two plenary sessions.

04:48The first one was titled, Unraveling India's Best-Kept Secret, and the second one was titled,

04:56Orissa, a Land of Opportunities.
