00:00The Philippine Paracycling Team is ready to compete in the upcoming Asian Para-Road Cycling Championships

00:07which will be held in February 7 to 16 in Thailand.

00:10According to National Paracycling Coach Norberto Oconer,

00:14his teammates are excited to compete again after their activities were suspended last year.

00:23The 2018 Asian Para Games Gold Medalist, Arthus Bukay,

00:29and veteran Godfrey Taberna,

00:31along with the new members of the team, Patrick Lee, Michael Bayani, and Joel Ian Tacotaco.

00:38The Philippine Paracycling Team, which is under the Philippine Paralympic Committee,

00:43was endorsed by PhilCycling and is expected to win a medal in the tournament.

00:49Aside from being a qualification event for the World Championships in August in Germany,

00:56the Asian Championships is a UCI-sanctioned event that can help paracyclists

01:03to qualify for the 2028 Paralympic Games.

01:07At the same time, they are also preparing for the Asian Para Games

01:12which will be held in Thailand next year.
