00:00are closer to us in eastern seaboard than the rest of India on the western seaboard.

00:06And we have been able to utilize this advantage very in a systematical plan manner by setting

00:11up ports on our long coastline, starting with Paradi port which is a Government of India

00:16port, the largest port in India today, Dhamra port which is run by Adanis and Gopalpur port

00:22which is also run by Adanis.

00:24Aside from that, there is a port at Suman Rekha being developed by Tata's and two more

00:29ports which will be coming up for development in the next two to three years, immense opportunities

00:35on the coastal region.

00:38This coastal advantage, the port advantage has helped us also become emerging leaders

00:44in chemicals and petrochemicals, we have the new destination for textiles, technical textiles

00:49and apparel and also in food and seafood processing.

00:52In fact sir, I am very happy to inform the Honourable Minister today, we have a proud

00:57NRI A.K. Mishra who has come all the way from Dubai, he is already establishing a plant

01:02in Odisha.

01:03We have from Mauritius Mr. Kohli, Amit Kohli who represents the firebond textiles who is

01:09setting up one of the largest denim manufacturing in Odisha.

01:13We have Mr. Mahesh Amlian from Sri Lanka, the mass group who are setting up a very large

01:17investment.

01:18Similarly, in seafood processing, now there are opportunities opening up in Far East and

01:23South East Asian and other markets and we would certainly take advantage of the presence

01:27of our friends from other countries to spread this word.

01:31In chemicals and petrochemicals, again there are large number of companies who have discovered

01:35the coastal advantage of Odisha, we have one of the three PCPIRs in the country, the other

01:40two being in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat and because of the Indian Oil Corporation's dual

01:46feed depth of project, the next wave of investments in chemicals and petrochemicals is coming

01:51up in Odisha.

01:53Same thing in textiles, technical textiles and apparel and also in food and seafood processing.

01:58Sir, I also wanted to bring to the notice of our Honorable External Affairs Minister,

02:03Indo Nissin which is a Japanese company today has the largest noodle manufacturing factory

02:09outside of Japan in India in Bhubaneswar and there are many other companies who have discovered

02:16this advantage.

02:17Similarly, the next wave of growth in Odisha is going to be in the new age sectors of renewable

02:22energy, biotechnology, electronics, IT, ITS, pharmaceuticals and automobile and auto components.

02:29We have set up good infrastructure facilities, good promotional policies for these investments.

02:35Sir, the last point which I wanted to bring to the kind attention of our audience here

02:40is look at this map of India which places Odisha in the scheme of Purvodaya.

02:46Andhra, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Assam and the Northeast.

02:53This is what is called East Northeast India.

02:56This is 50 crores of India's population, one third of India's population is in this region

03:01and in all goods and services, the CAGR, the growth of demand from consumers in this area

03:11is the fastest in India.

03:13Look at Odisha as an entry point to this region because we are a coastal state, we are ideally

03:18located, we have good infrastructure, good policies, good skilled workforce.

03:22Therefore, Odisha can become your entry point to serve this fast emerging larger, one third

03:28of India's market.

03:30We have set up good infrastructure facilities.

03:32Just take a very brief look here.

03:34On the East Coast, we have the Eastern Expressway.

03:38On the West Coast, we have the Western Expressway and these two are connected by a East-West

03:42Expressway.

03:43All our industrial areas, all our major ports and industrial clusters are located on this.

03:50We have ready to move industrial lands in good industrial states in these areas close

03:54to port, close to highway, close to national roads.

03:57Ease of doing business, this is the photograph of my Honorable Industries Minister receiving

04:03the Top Achiever State Award recently by Shri Piyush Goyalji, Honorable Commerce and

04:09Industries Minister, as the Top Achiever State in Ease of Doing Business.

04:13And recently, we received Achiever State in the Leeds report just two days ago.

04:19Again, Commerce and Industries Minister honored our state as an Achiever State in the Logistics

04:23Ease of Doing Business.

04:24Cost of doing business, the lowest in the country.

04:27Cost of industrial land, cost of water, cost of power and cost of moving goods to other

04:33parts of the country.

04:35It has been proved by studies after studies that we are amongst the lowest in the country.

04:40World-class skilling ecosystem, Honorable Minister Sir, out of the top 100 ITIs in the

04:45country, 11 are from Orissa.

04:48Out of the top 20 ITI graduates last year, 14 were from Orissa.
