00:00We are adopting NCRT books as it is, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, but as

00:15it is NCRT books we are adopting.

00:17Similarly for Arts and Humanities courses, Civics, Economics, History and Commerce, BIE

00:25We modified the syllabus, updated the data, modified the chapters in NCRT books and designed a new book for Intermediate 1st year.

00:37Many of the MYPs are asking, if we take that, we can prepare for both NEET and JEE, where the student has inclination, they will go there.

00:46So to address this, we are introducing second subject as elective.

00:51One language compulsory, second language is elective.

00:55Other than that, you can also take a subject, academic subject.

01:00So we are proposing merger of subjects.

01:03Maths 1A, 1B will be single subject now.

01:06Other than two subjects, it will be single subject.

01:09Similarly, Botany, Zoology will be single subject biology.

01:17So each stream will have five subjects.

01:20In MPC stream, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, plus one English language, plus one elective.

01:26In YPC stream, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, one English compulsory language, plus one elective.

01:33Other than that, sixth subject, we are giving option as an additional subject.

01:38If everyone is interested, they can take a sixth subject also.

01:43Optionally, we are going to CBSE pattern.

01:45This is all followed by CBSE.

01:47Optional subject means, if student fails in any of these five subjects,

01:55you can consider the marks of the sixth subject.

01:59So uniformly, we are proposing 500 in first year and 500 in second year for all subjects.

02:07Along with that, very important intervention is introduction of internal marks.

02:13Suppose, if Maths has 100 marks, 80 marks will be theory, exam.

02:1820 marks will be project work.

02:21In that case, MPC marks will be 380, theory, 120, internals, practical.

02:28YPC, 370, theory, 130, marks, internals, practical.

02:33Humanities will be 400 marks, theory, 100 marks, internals.

02:38Examination should be competitive.

02:40There should not be road learning.

02:42In first year examinations, starting from next year,

02:46in examination paper, we are also introducing one mark questions.

02:50Fourth reform, which is a major reform, removal of inter first year board examinations.

02:57So, except Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,

03:00neither CBSE nor any major state board is conducting board examinations at 11th class.

03:07Because, it will reduce exam stress.

03:12Pressure will be reduced.

03:13Competitive exams will get time.

03:16Even in admissions time, IIT may be there, NEET may be there.

03:21Qualifying test, only 12th class marks will be taken.

03:26So, this major reform, first year examinations we are proposing,

03:30we will give from BI, we will give syllabus, we will give blueprint.

03:34According to that, each college should conduct their own examination.

03:39Just like they are doing in 8th, 9th, 7th class,

03:42similarly, in 11th class also their own examination should be conducted.

03:46In 12th class, inter second year, BI will conduct the examination as per the syllabus and blueprint.

03:53None of it is decided.

03:54It is only in proposal stage.

03:57So, to finalize, from students, parents and academicians,

04:03we are inviting suggestions and objections up to 26th of January.
