00:00I actually met Priyanka Gandhi ji in the parliament and the first thing I told her

00:10I said you should watch Emergency. She was very gracious she said you know

00:17maybe I said you will quite like it so let's see if they would want to watch

00:22the film. I think it's a very sensitive and sensible portrayal of one episode

00:28and one personality also and I have taken great care of definitely

00:34portraying Mrs. Gandhi with great dignity because I see when I I started

00:40to do a lot of research there there was so much focus and so much material about

00:46personal life you know whether it is a relationship with her husband or many

00:51friends or you know controversial equations relationships and I thought to

00:58myself I said you know there is so much more to every person and I've taken

01:05special care not even like going into those directions because when it comes

01:09to women especially they're always reduced to you know their equation with

01:14men around them and of course sensational encounters of whatever

01:20personal encounters with you know there are so many material that is and in fact

01:25most of the controversial material was about all that but I have portrayed her

01:30with so much dignity and sensibility and I think that everybody should see this

01:35film because you know like she she is also a very loved leader also I mean

01:41apart from some very crazy things that happened during emergency and other few

01:49things I think she was very loved and celebrated and three-time Prime Minister
