00:00But I want to get this off my chest because this freaked me out today.

00:04No joke. And I know that for some of us,

00:08social media and news on social media,

00:13it's sort of like sends us to a certain place where we're like, oh,

00:16that's just Twitter or Instagram or whatever.

00:20But increasingly, I think we're learning that what we do see

00:24as far as messaging on social media is real.

00:27And this is different than say, Brandon,

00:30Iuke who last year had him and his girl and his brother

00:35all kind of all over Instagram. Remember right, exact same time of the year.

00:39It was February cause the season lasted longer,

00:41but meaning just a few days after cleaning out lockers,

00:45Iuke and his people were already on social media talking about how,

00:49well my last game at Levi's stadium, guess I'm out. Now,

00:53remember he ended up being in, got hurt, but he stayed.

00:58I'm hopeful that the same thing is happening here. This is different,

01:03but the suggestion is clear by Fred Warner's wife,

01:08Sydney, that Dre Greenlaw is leaving.

01:12And I think if the 49ers led him out of the room, it is an all caps,

01:17massive mistake.

01:19There is video on her page that is showing a party of women mostly made up of

01:26seemingly the indication is that there are a lot of 49 or wives and

01:30girlfriends at this party. And she writes POV,

01:34which stands for point of view.

01:36And she shows Dre Greenlaw's girl coming in and writes,

01:40your team didn't make the playoffs and the NFL free agency is taking your best

01:46friend to another team. And we are all severely unwell.

01:51I don't know any other way to read this to the point.

01:54Steini was just making about Steph Curry and the warriors,

01:58whatever page of the book we are on, they are eight chapters ahead.

02:03So the idea before free agency even starts the Dre Greenlaw and the 49ers and

02:08his representatives have not already had discussions is ludicrous.

02:12They know where each other stand and the indication from Fred Warner's wife is

02:17that Dre's gone. And I'm telling you right now, I don't like,

02:21I can't be an expert on health and what's going on there,

02:25but I think Dre Greenlaw, whatever's going on with him,

02:28I have full belief that that human being is going to recover and still have a

02:33great NFL career in front of him. And if it's not in a Niner jersey,

02:37it's a massive mistake.

02:38Well, we don't know that. I mean,

02:39we don't know if it's a massive mistake. We don't know anything.

02:41Right. And I wonder what that whole process would be like because I'm looking at

02:46the second picture from the post, which is a giant five,

02:50seven balloon gold balloons,

02:52which they could give that to me for my next birthday coming up in seven months.

02:56It's going to be my Greenlaw birthday.

03:08So I wonder if they had already decided to not bring back Dre Greenlaw,

03:13why not let him play to at least showcase himself to other teams?

03:16And if he wasn't healthy enough to play,

03:18well then maybe you're not going to miss out on what you think you're going to

03:21miss out on. A guy who missed all year,

03:23came back for two quarters and got hurt again.

03:26I don't necessarily think that if the Niners are going to play,

03:29they're going to be able to do it.

03:32I don't necessarily think that if the Niners look at that and they decide that

03:37he's not worth even a small minimum kind of a salary,

03:41then maybe they're not going to miss out that much.

05:24If they decide that Dre Greenlaw is no longer a part of their plans

05:26then I'm kind of with you.

05:28Emotionally it's a big loss

05:30because he's definitely an emotional leader of this team.

05:32If they don't think that he's able to still be Dre Greenlaw

05:36then I hope that he's able to go out there

05:38to another team and prove them wrong

05:40if in fact he leaves

05:42and the bigger issue for me is

05:44you've got a big hole at linebacker

05:46and you can say Dee Winters and that's nice

05:48and he's probably a piece for the future

05:50but you look at a defense that was bad this year

05:54and the defensive coordinator may or may not be back

05:56this year

05:58it's a defense that needs really good players

06:00and Greenlaw has been a really good player.

06:02I mean they'll address it

06:04I don't think this is going to be like

06:10and I understand it could go one way or the other

06:12that's just my feeling

06:14part of it is also we get attached to the drafted players

06:16especially the ones that get drafted late

06:18and become stars

06:20like a George Kittle

06:22what I saw from him

06:24even in this short little flash

06:26in a game that was built for defense

06:28to me was more than just football

06:30it was the way emotionally

06:32this human being has an effect

06:34on the other players around him

06:36I could not be a bigger Dre Greenlaw fan

06:38people forget

06:40where this person was

06:42and who he was

06:44he is someone who has had

06:46in many ways an awful background

06:48and upbringing

06:51I remember the story when Dre was drafted

06:53he was the guy that saved the girl

06:55from the party

06:57from the guy that was trying to

06:59do the date rape thing

07:01and he saved her

07:03and that girl's dad came out

07:05and spoke publicly about Dre

07:07like this is a dude

07:09as Kyle Shanahan would say

07:11everything that you want in a 49er

07:13that's who Dre Greenlaw is

07:15and I don't know

07:17what the financial ask is

07:20we have not even started to get there

07:22but I'm like

07:24wow what an unbelievable

07:28if the Niners are so out

07:30on Dre Greenlaw

07:32that two days after the season ends

07:34they've already decided

07:36he's already decided he's moving on

07:38Fred Warner's wife is throwing parties

07:42and then posting it on social

07:44which is another side to this story

07:46that I don't really understand

07:49and it's their channels

07:51they do whatever you want

07:53I would imagine this didn't surprise Fred

07:59are making a huge mistake

08:13is no longer able to be the player

08:15that they need him to be

08:18and this is one for me that time will tell

08:20and you have him go out there

08:22and he gets signed by another team

08:24and he becomes a game wrecker again

08:26then yeah it could be a big mistake

08:28but this makes me think more about

08:30the whole idea of Super Bowl or bust

08:32where you try to go to a Super Bowl

08:34and you don't

08:36and then you have hard choices to make

08:38and Javon Hargrave is going to be a guy

08:40who probably isn't back

08:42and Dre Greenlaw

08:44and we can run through all 31 free agents

08:46and Devadre Campbell

08:48he won't be back

08:50and all the other free agents that are on the list

08:52the majority of them won't be back

08:54so next year whatever you do

08:56it's going to be with a team

08:58that is markedly different than this year
