00:00The first thing that came to my mind after reading the book was that even if you take

00:12political names or incidences out and even if you put XYZ names into it, some other random

00:19names, even then the story will stand on its own.

00:22So, this is a very good story, not just a political drama.

00:31And when I sat with Anuj for the first time, I told him that we have to focus on the screenplay.

00:38After watching any film, whether it is a left-wing film or a right-wing film, it should not be

00:45called a propaganda film.

00:47You know, the screenplay should stand on its own.

00:50And secondly, if there is a controversy, for a first-time director like me, I will take

00:56it as an advantage because who will listen to me other than Dhamak Hai Ke?

01:01I have to make some noise.

01:02So, I decided to jump into it.

01:04And how did you approach Vineet?

01:08I have seen a lot of his work before.

01:13According to me, he is one of the finest actors in the country today.

01:16And I am not saying it because he is here with me.

01:19But genuinely, you can ask anyone, anybody will agree to what I am saying.

01:25Secondly, when I and my daughter saw Gunjan Saxena, both of us literally cried with his

01:32performance.

01:33The performance he gave in the climax, it's a power-packed performance.

01:39First reason.

01:40Second reason is, I was looking at an actor who could don the uniform of an army and look

01:49like a bond, look like a dashing army person who could bring goosebumps to people.

01:55And because this story, Vineet's character is playing the intelligence officer also.

02:02So, an intelligence officer has to mix with people and gather intelligence.

02:09So, I wanted an actor who could mix with four people.

02:14So that he doesn't stand out when he is not in the uniform and when he wears the uniform,

02:19he looks like an army person where people take notice of him.

02:23So, both these qualities are in him.

02:28I felt that Vineet is the only choice, believe me.

02:31Vineet, we have praised you a lot.

02:33You tell us, when you did the film, we have talked about that.

02:36What is the experience after doing the film?

02:38Is there any memorable incident during the making of the film that touched you the most?

02:45There are a lot of things, but I would like to share a few things.

02:49First of all, I have been working for a long time.

02:53It rarely happens that a film is smoothly completed in such a short period of time.

03:04Producer Pallavi Gurjar, this is her first film.

03:09Kedarki, this is her first Hindi film.

03:12But when you go with a very professional team,

03:20even then if this happens, it is a matter of good luck.

03:22Why am I saying this?

03:24Because we have shot in three countries and six cities.

03:32And the shoot started in January and ended in mid-March.

03:39Plus, when I was shooting in Kashmir,

03:43the day we started because there is a long span where the character is undercover.

03:52When we went, it felt like this weather is of June-Moon.

03:58When the third day came, it felt like this weather is of October.

04:05And we were thinking that it would have been better if we had got snow.

04:10So, we asked many people to go far in the Pahalgam valley

04:16and see if there is snow.

04:19So that we get a change in the weather.

04:22There is a stay time of 7-8 months.

04:27By the grace of God, the snow that had started to fall,

04:32the people of Pahalgam were saying that this time there was no snow.

04:35And the snow that had started to fall,

04:38the clear land that we could see,

04:41that land filled up to my knees that day.

04:48And we shot in complete snow.

04:51So, me, Kedar, all the people of the unit, we were talking about what was happening.

04:56So, this was magic.
