ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲିଠୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେବା ପ୍ରବାସୀ ଭାରତୀୟ ସମ୍ମିଳନୀ ।ହେଲେ ଚିନ୍ତା ବଢାଉଛି ନୂଆ ଭାଇରସ ।ସେପଟେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଓ ନିରାପଦକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଦିଆଯାଉଛି ବୋଲି କହିଲେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଶାସନ ସଚିବ।

00:00The Prabhasi Bharatiya Diwas, as I mentioned, is one of the most important schemes of the

00:06Ministry of External Affairs and the Government of India.

00:09Our basic objective through this program is to provide a platform to the global Indian diaspora

00:17to engage themselves and to do and meet the leadership in this process.

00:26So this event, as I mentioned, takes place once every two years.

00:32Two years back, we were in Madhya Pradesh in partnership with the state government

00:36hosting the event in Indore. Two years down the line, we are now in Odisha in Bhubaneswar

00:43hosting this event. It is one of the largest events of the Diaspora Connect.

00:50As you are very much aware, diaspora engagement is one of the most important

00:55objectives of the Ministry of External Affairs. Our Honorable Prime Minister, whenever he has

01:00visited any country abroad, diaspora engagement has been one of his major events that takes place.

01:08Just to add to what my colleague has mentioned,

01:18you see the diaspora contribution to India's global growth story has been very significant.

01:25And this diaspora can also, from the state's perspective, play a very major role in Odisha's

01:31development. Just the fact that if so many delegates are coming, if they carry back good

01:39experiences from Odisha, then they become our ambassadors. Honorable Prime Minister has

01:43announced a scheme, Chalo India, where essentially he says every one Indian can then bring back five

01:49more visitors to Odisha. So when we in Odisha are thinking about playing a very significant role in

01:57the Vixit Bharat 2047 vision, we will also be able to perform that role at a global stage,

02:04be it in terms of tourist attractions, be it in terms of exposing people to our art, culture,

02:12sculpture, traditions, history, and also in terms of business environment, as he mentioned.

02:20As the number of delegates is very large and coming from all over the country.

02:26Somebody asked a small question about the virus and all that. We can please rest assured that

02:32we are going strictly as per the Government of India guidelines in that matter and taking as

02:37and when necessary steps are to be taken. At that stage, whatever is the requirement

02:41has been adequately taken care of.
