00:00Sir, which course is being offered by the Mass Communication Department and how is it unique for the students?

00:16In the Mass Communication Department, the MA Mass Media course is already being offered.

00:26This time, we have launched Bachelor of Arts, Major in Film and Minor in Theater and Media Studies.

00:35This course is unique in itself because you must have seen that Film, Theater and Media are taught in different parts of India.

00:44For Film, we go to FTI. For Theater, we go to NSD and BNA.

00:51For Media Studies and Journalism, we go to IIMC.

00:55But there was no institution where all three subjects are taught.

01:00Keeping this in mind, we have started Bachelor of Arts, Film, Theater and Media Studies.

01:06The specialty of this course is that it is under NEP.

01:09If you have studied for a year and you feel that you want to go somewhere else,

01:18then if you leave this course, you will get an Undergraduate Certificate course.

01:22If you leave this course after completing two years, you will get an Undergraduate Diploma course.

01:28If you complete this course in three years, you will get a Bachelor Degree.

01:32If you complete this course for four years, you will get BA Honours in Film, Theater and Media Studies.

01:39One more special thing is that you can also take a research degree with BA Honours.

01:45But the condition is that 75% marks should be there in your entire semester for three years.

01:52If you have 75% marks in every semester for three years,

01:57then you will also get a BA Honours Research Degree.

02:02And you do not need to do a Master's, you can directly take a PhD.

02:06This is very special and unique about this course.

02:09Sir, is this the first such course in the country?

02:14I think this kind of course is starting for the first time in any CVU.

02:20And if we look at this course, our Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants to make Uttar Pradesh a film city.

02:30He is continuously trying to build a film city so that people from outside can come and increase Uttar Pradesh's tourism.

02:38Uttar Pradesh should be used to make good films.

02:42For their dreams and for the development of Uttar Pradesh,

02:46we needed a course where people who are technically capable can work in the workforce.

02:54We can dream, but to make that dream come true, we should have a workforce.

03:01Where will that workforce come from?

03:02That workforce will come from this course.

03:06And I want to tell you how skills are being given to them.

03:10There will be very few courses in which music is also included.

03:13We have included music in Bachelor of Film Theatre and Media Studies.

03:18Whether it is harmonium, tabla, swar, swar sadhana, we are doing all these things.

03:26I think that in the coming time, this course will attract a lot of people.

03:32And it will become such a course that people from all over the world will come to Ambedkar University.

03:40Sir, what should be the qualification and when does admission start?

03:45Qualification is inter-pass in any subject.

03:48You should have 50% marks if you are from the unreserved category.

03:53There are 45% marks if you are in the reserved category.

03:57Apart from this, the pattern we have till now is that we get this through the National Entrance Test.

04:05This is our subject in the CU set.

04:08When you are giving the exam of the CU set, you will have to take the course of Ambedkar University BA Film Theatre.

04:16As soon as you take the course, based on your marks, you will be selected for this course.
