00:00The Department of Environment and Natural Resources is reminding the local governments to implement their solid management plans.

00:11This is important for proper waste management, not only for the safety but also for the protection of the public health.

00:20The DNR is also ready to provide technical assistance to the LGUs if needed.

00:26The National Solid Waste Management Commission will immediately take action on this issue.

00:35This includes the investigation and recommendation of possible adversative or criminal cases.

00:42As of now, 89% of the 1,006 LGUs in the country have solid waste management plans approved by the NSWMC.

00:5317 LGUs in Metro Manila have already been approved.
