Puppy Leaves Shelter After 432 Days

When he finally got adopted, it was the first time he actually got to be a puppy... with his new best friend

00:05Spinach was an underweight puppy with a ruptured eye and was going to be put down until this

00:10amazing shelter in Texas, Austin Pets Alive, jumped in to help. He was just a puppy with

00:15lots of energy but as each day passed and no one adopted him, Spinach started to lose hope.

00:22Spinach loved the shelter's playgroup because it was the time he got to play with other dogs

00:26but then when he got back to his kennel, he was just so sad. He started eating less,

00:31losing weight, the shelter even offering different types of food.

00:34Finally, a family in Oklahoma fell in love with Spinach.

00:51A staff member and volunteer drove him all the way to his new home in Oklahoma.

00:55Spinach was so relieved to get out of the shelter, he even started eating again.

01:19The best surprise of all was when he got to his new home

01:22and realized he had a new sister. Addie had spent the first six months of her life

01:27in a shelter before this family adopted her. As soon as Addie and Spinach met,

01:31it was almost as if she understood where he was coming from.

01:41Spinach's dad told me that he is doing so well.

01:45He and Addie love each other so much and spend a ridiculous amount of time playing together.
