01:04And now the second one is on this question of enforced disappearances.

01:08Now I must say that there is absolutely no evidence on any of them.

01:12If you talk about the first arrest warrant, then it was on so-called genocide, but there

01:17was no facts and figures presented.

01:19In fact, when the UNHCR, UN High Commission for Refugees, they were asked to come and

01:25do a report.

01:26The UN Human Rights Commission, sorry, not High Commission for Refugees, the UN Human

01:31Rights Commission was asked to do a report on the people who lost their lives in July-August

01:38and they have visited Bangladesh twice.

01:40But they said no evidence has been given to us.

01:42So actually, these kind of cases that are being instilled by the International Crimes

01:48Tribunal, nobody knows about the factual matter.

01:51What is the problem?

01:52Is there a FIR?

01:54What is written in the FIR?

01:55What is the evidence?

01:56Nothing like that.

01:57We know that they have asked for an extradition request and India has not even responded on

02:02that because there is no paperwork with that.

02:05When you ask for an extradition request, it is a long legal matter.

02:09You have to give the evidence which has been presented, what case was heard.

02:14All those matters, details have to be given.

02:17Then there might be a hearing even here if you are making the request.

02:20None of that has been done.

02:21Now this question of enforced disappearances, you just put her name just like that.

02:25The Rapid Action Battalion which is responsible and which has been accused of these forced

02:29disappearances, this was set up in the time of Begum Khalda Zia, this Rapid Action Battalion.

02:43But now to suddenly make a case out of it and then accuse 12 people, I don't think that

02:48these cases really carry the seriousness that they should have.

02:53They have issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Haseena and other people and a deadline

03:00has been set for them to be presented in front of the ICT till 12th February.

03:06This is the second time that ICT, the International Crime Tribunal of Dhaka, has issued an arrest

03:13warrant against Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena.

03:16The first time it was issued in October when they said in the case of genocide and crimes

03:20against humanity.

03:21This time they have filed a case in the case of enforced disappearances.

03:26But in these cases they have not presented any evidence as to why an arrest warrant has

03:31been issued, what is the case, what is the evidence, what is the FIR that has been lodged,

03:35how did it happen.

03:36There is no such description.

03:37Otherwise, there is nothing as to how it happened.

03:40So that is why when they sent a noteworthy case for extradition, like extradition is

03:45not based on a noteworthy case.

03:47It is a very legal, technical, judicial procedure.

03:50Their case, what case it was, what are the accused, what evidence was presented, what

03:55did the judge decide on it.

03:57So that is why it doesn't seem like a very serious matter.

04:00The case is a politicization and they somehow want to show that Sheikh Haseena has done

04:07all these things and that is why they will either debar him or ban him or they will give

04:12an ex-party arrest decision.

04:14This seems to be a very serious matter.

04:17They are not handling it in a serious manner.

04:20What will be the response of the Indian government on this?

04:25The Indian government will not give any response at the moment.

04:28When an extradition request came through a noteworthy case and there is no extradition

04:32on the basis of a noteworthy case.

04:34So our government did not give any response.

04:36They just said that we have received a noteworthy case.

04:38They did not say anything more than that.

04:40And they did the right thing.

04:41Because there is no such thing.

04:43Why are we in this debate?

04:44They want this to be such a debate.

04:46That we say something and then they say something.

04:48So we did not say anything at all.

04:49This is absolutely right.

04:50But people should know that they are after a Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena.

04:55First on one arrest warrant and then on the second arrest warrant.

04:57And when they did the first arrest warrant on the basis of genocide.
