00:00The printing of balotas that will be used in the upcoming elections this May has already started.

00:06This is the story of Luisa Erispe.

00:10The National Printing Office has already started printing balotas that will be used in the 2025 National and Local Elections.

00:19According to the Commission on Elections, more than 73 million balotas will be printed by COMELEC

00:24and they plan to finish it in just 77 days.

00:29We will use the machine of the NPO.

00:32COMELEC will do everything necessary just to ensure that all supplies, all forms are ready by the time that our ballot should be there.

00:44Every day, COMELEC will print 1 million balotas.

00:48The balotas for overseas voting and local absentee voting will be printed first.

00:53It's more clear to read the names of the candidates and there are security marks so that the balotas used will not be stolen.

01:01But COMELEC said that some are asking if the list of candidates printing balotas is wrong.

01:09Some were disqualified and COC canceled the candidates for local positions and some of them are still appealing to the Supreme Court.

01:20But COMELEC said that since the Supreme Court has no temporary restraining order, they already issued resolutions.

01:28The final and executive decision, all of them lost their names in the list and lost their names in the balotas.

01:37If something will happen, something will be issued, then we will be doing something. But the COMELEC will always find a way.

01:45COMELEC is not yet releasing the list of candidates for local positions.

01:50But for national positions, there are 66 candidates for the Senate and 155 for the party list.
