00:00Allington, Connecticut was one of the last of its kind, an old-fashioned family farm

00:08town, and the supermarket was an important part of that.

00:12The place always felt like it was simply a natural part of Allington.

00:16It was a community, for the customers, for the long-time employees, and especially for

00:20all of us.

00:22This is where we worked, where we hung out.

00:25It was like a smaller version of our town.

00:28If you screw up, blame it on the new guy, which is you, so I guess you're screwed.

00:35I've lived in Allington my whole life, and it seems as though the town and the supermarket

00:39always stayed the same.

00:41They stood the test of time, almost immortal, or at least, that's what I had thought.

00:46But as usually happens in these stories, unfortunately, that was all about to change.

00:51It's a shame the place is not going to be around here for much longer.
