Turo allows vehicle owners, called "hosts," to list cars for rent on its platform, facilitating rentals and payments. Investigators revealed that Turo was used to rent vehicles involved in a New Orleans attack and a Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas. Turo stated it found no evidence of criminal backgrounds for the renters or any link between the two incidents. Authorities said there is no definitive link between the two incidents involving Turo, suggesting their occurrence is coincidental.
