00:00You've written several books on Donald Trump. You probably understand him pretty well by now, I'm sure.

00:06Why do you think he now supports this program, despite harshly criticizing it in the past?

00:12And do you think this is down to Elon Musk?

00:15Because we do know now that they've sort of got a bromance going on.

00:19Well, I've covered Donald for 36 years. In fact, I wrote about him becoming president in 1988.

00:27And one of the key lessons to understand about Donald is that there are no underlying principles from which he operates.

00:35He's very mercurial. In fact, it's not unusual for Donald to say something,

00:40say the opposite within a minute, and then deny that he made the original comment.

00:46So Donald is a person who is at heart a con artist.
