00:07Finally, Paul, what is your key message to the supporters?

00:13Get off our back.

00:16No, you can just look around today.

00:20My name's John Burrows and I was a full-time official in the Derbyshire area coalfield.

00:25This is an exhibition in Poole's Brook Miners' Welfare.

00:28It's an exhibition of the 40th anniversary of the year-long miners' strike in the country and particularly in Derbyshire.

00:36It's an event that everybody should come and have a look at.

00:39There's an opportunity to begin to understand at least a little bit of what life during the strike was like.

00:45I was born in Dortmund.

00:46Tell me a bit about who you are and why we're here today.

00:48Yes, so my name's John Keane-Thomlinson. I'm a custom games exec at Winning Moves.

00:53We're here today because we're announcing the Peak District edition of Monopoly.

00:56So we know that Bakewell's obviously one of the big central hubs in the Peak District.

01:00So we thought we'd come along today.

01:02We also heard that National Bakewell Pudding Day is next week as well.

01:05So yeah, lots of tourists out today, lots of people to spread the word.

01:09A huge thank you to you, first off, for being willing to share in this day with everybody.

01:14A huge thank you to the Lord Lieutenant for her willingness to be able to come and represent today

01:20and to support us in this very important event.

01:24And also to the Masonic Order, to everybody who have made this possible.

01:28But most importantly, to Denise, who has been absolutely the driving force in ensuring that today has happened.

01:36It is absolutely vital that we remember the service of everybody who is a veteran in our country.

01:43I'm Councillor Mick Bakeshaw. I'm leader at Staveley Matters on Stavestown Council.

01:48We started this six months ago, and to see it in full tradition today, it's a great honour.

01:55And also to have Richard here representing his family and what have you.

02:01It is a good thing for Richard's family, as well as community safety,

02:09because now everybody will know this route, as Grace has spoken about.

02:15What's this last year been like for you?

02:17Mental.

02:18That's it?

02:19Yeah.

02:20It's not real.

02:21Yeah, it's been mental.

02:22Really?

02:23It's been a year, hasn't it? And we did sit quietly the other day and thought, what was that?

02:29Then you, oh, we did this.

02:30Yeah.

02:31And then we went there and, oh, what about that?

02:33Yeah.

02:34We did this.

02:35What's been the high spot for you both?

02:37I think it sounds corny, but for me it's just having a boyfriend.

02:41What about you, Roger?

02:43Having a girlfriend.

02:44Oh, yeah, he's taken my lines.

02:48I'm delighted to be here at Cavendish Junior School today to celebrate Mr Turner, the caretaker,

02:53winning a silver award for the Pearson National Teaching Award in the category of Unsung Hero.

03:00Mr Turner is so deserving of this award.

03:03From a school point of view, the second I walked in this building, it has Mr Turner written all over it.

03:09He is the absolute definition of hero.

03:12And as a school, we want to sing and shout about it as much as possible.

03:16The school, I said to the staff this morning, the school really is a magical, special place to learn, to work.

03:22And a lot of that is down to Lee.

03:24And everything that is about to come his way is thoroughly well.

03:27Don't worry about that.

03:28But obviously, it is an election that's all about change.

03:31The opportunity is to vote to continue with what we've got.

03:35In my view, that's not been very good.

03:38Or we can vote to change that and have a different government come in and start cleaning up the mess and taking our country forward.

03:46But it is a vote all about change.

03:49It is very much a change election.

03:51And the only thing I'd say about that is if you do want change,

03:54we've been campaigning now for weeks and weeks and weeks across the country.

03:58Hello, my name is Alex Horner.

04:00I'm 20 years old from Tibshelf and I perform as a Young Elvis tribute artist.

04:05And I'm going to be the next Elvis in Derbyshire and the best and in the world.

04:10How long have you been doing this for?

04:12About six months now.

04:14I've been doing it around six months.

04:16Have you played many places?

04:18Well, I've played from here in Derbyshire, of course.

04:22And I've been down to Western Supermare.

04:25We're looking at going to Skegness, Blackpool.

04:28Getting all the way around Derbyshire though.

04:30Love Derbyshire, can't beat it.

04:50Madeline Wadam, musical director.
