Belgium becomes first European country to ban disposable e-cigarettes
From January 1, 2025, Belgium will become the first European Union country to ban the sale of disposable e-cigarettes, known as puffs, on its territory. The measure, targeting a product wildly popular with young people, is part of a national anti-tobacco plan, with the EU aiming to achieve a tobacco-free generation by 2040. "I think it's good that they're stopping the sale," says Yona, a puffs consumer, "there are a lot of young people who don't necessarily think about the consequences."
