Pitbull helps clean and install new crystals on Times Square's New Year's Eve Ball  US rapper Pitbull rolled up his sleeves to clean the last crystals installed on the famous Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball on Friday, December 27.  Just four days before the big night, Pitbull was representing CleanBoss, a company he co-founded with Joy Mangano, a producer of non-toxic chemicals, that became the official cleaning partner of One Times Square, the building, on top of which the New Year's Eve Ball falls down a long, metal poll every December 31st at midnight.  The New Year’s Eve Ball is 12 feet in diameter and weighs 11,875 pounds. 00:25This crystal ball right here is the most famous ball in the world.

00:28And this ball is something that's very, very powerful, motivational, and inspirational.

00:33I mean, this is the ball that basically helps set off all the New Year's resolutions going into every year.

00:40So, going into 2025, it's going to be all the way live.

00:43But to be here with Joey Mangano, someone that I relate to, someone that I have immense respect for,

00:49and we have a very similar story where we both came from nothing and made something with our lives.

00:54So, we're here with Clean Balls.

00:56And why does that product mean a lot to me is because I used to clean houses with my mother.

01:00So, to be able to come from cleaning houses with my mother to be up here in Times Square with Joey cleaning the ball,

01:05it just goes to show you why a dream when you can live it and hard work pays off.

01:08Well, today we installed the final crystal triangle.

01:11This ball is 12 feet in diameter.

01:13It weighs nearly 6 tons.

01:14It has 2,688 triangles consisting of two patterns.

01:18The one-time square design, which has deep, long, linear cuts with a circle at the top

01:23representing the iconic building where the ball drops each year,

01:25as well as the new Ever crystal design, which has three pairs of interlocking rings representing unity

01:31surrounded by diamond facets that provide a jewel setting for the letter E,

01:35which stands for Ever, which is the name of the new destination for vow ceremonies opening at One Times Square in 2025.

01:41Today, we're at One Times Square where we installed the final crystal triangle thanks to Pitbull and Joey Mangano.

01:47They made it sparkling, beautifully clean, and we are ready for New Year's Eve.

01:51Oh, my God, we have an amazing lineup of performers this year.

01:54Everyone from the Jonas Brothers to Mickey Guyton to Mark Amber to Carrie Underwood, TLC, Megan Maroney,

02:03Sophie Ellis Baxter, El De La Ghetto, Gracie, and it's just going to be an amazing, fantastic year.
