00:05Celebrate New Year's Eve at Cheapfold Stables. There's live music and performances starting from 2pm. No tickets or pre-booking are needed.

00:13There's a New Year's Eve party at Stack Seaburn. Expect crowd karaoke, live music from Maverick Rejects and a DJ spinning all night long.

00:22There's a UV masquerade ball at Independent Sunderland for New Year's Eve.

00:27The resident DJs will deliver the bangers across two rooms of pop, dance, indie sing-alongs and throwback hits.

00:33Sunderland's take on Sheffield United at the Stadium of Light on the evening of New Year's Day.

00:38And there's a junior basketball camp on at the Beacon of Light on Thursday January the 2nd.

00:43That's for girls and boys aged between 8 and 15 with sessions running between 9.30am and 1pm.

00:49It's £5 for under 10s and £10 for under 12 sessions and under 15 sessions.
