00:01The symbol of sacrifice and inspiration is Veer-Baldivas.

00:05Whenever India was attacked, the holy soil here gave birth to such brave sons,

00:12who sacrificed their lives for the protection of their religion, culture and motherland.

00:19The story of such immortal sacrifice is of Dashmeshpita, Shri Guru Govind Singh Ji and his four sons.

00:27In 1704, when the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb was torturing the innocents for religion,

00:35Guru Govind Singh Ji took up arms against the atrocities.

00:40The Mughal army attacked the fort of Anandgarh and a fierce battle took place on the banks of the Sarsa river.

00:46In this battle, Guru Govind Singh Ji's eldest sons, Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh,

00:53died fighting against 10 lakh Mughals in Chamkaur.

01:01The younger sons, Baba Jorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh,

01:05separated from the Dal along with their grandmother, Mata Gujri.

01:09The Nawab of Sarhind, Wazir Khan, imprisoned them in a cold Burj.

01:14To change the religion of the younger sons, Wazir Khan used all his strength and threatened them.

01:22And when the younger sons did not listen, he issued an order to bury them alive in the wall.

01:30Despite this, Guru Govind Singh's sons, the younger sons, did not fear at all.

01:36These sons accepted death, but did not leave their religion.

01:41To bring this forgotten sacrifice of the sons in front of the country and to inspire the children of the country,

01:48Yashashmi Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji,

01:52announced the Veer Baal Diwas on 26th December, 2022.

01:58The life of our children, their life is the message.

02:04May it reach every child of the country.

02:07May they inspire and become dedicated citizens of the country.
