00:47the show, because the show really is about a lot of different true stories.

00:53We probably changed the name, but the stories are very real, so that is also our obligation.

01:04let this pass, these stories will never be told.

02:33How do you internalize those emotions and sustain them long enough to make a supposed

02:37decent cut for the show?

02:39I think what I mentioned earlier, I empathize with the characters.

02:43I think I also give credit to my co-actors.

03:09How did it feel to work on a historical series that was back in the 1930s to 1940s?

03:15It was hard because we didn't have a lot of time.

03:19So, when I found out that I'm doing a part of Akiyo, I started researching.

03:23What's available is stories about World War II, Netflix, YouTube.

03:31Costume designing is very exciting and rewarding.

03:34However, what are some limitations and difficulties does having a historical setting entail

03:40in terms of costume and set design?

03:42Such as making sure that the set design and costumes are true to history.

03:47I think it's a time constraint.

03:49We have to come up with the costumes, even if it's a very short period of time

03:53and very short period for research.

03:56But somehow we are able to manage.

03:58The budget is okay.

04:00Filipinos are very creative.

04:02They can do so much with very little with what they have.

04:05It's a very recent war years.

04:09That's why there are a lot of buildings and houses from that period

04:13that are still standing and in good condition that we can shoot.
