The journey by electric passenger boat to the St. Bartholomä peninsula takes half an hour. Behind the peninsula stands the imposing Watzmann East Wall. In addition to the baroque pilgrimage church dedicated to St. Bartholomew, with its famous ruby-colored onion domes, the royal hunting lodge attracts visitors to stop by a typical Bavarian restaurant with a beer garden to linger or to the Fischer vom Königssee, where trout, char and whitefish are transformed into fine delicacies in the 400-year-old smokehouse.
