00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted that the public should not be worried even if the PhilHealth has zero subsidy.

00:07The President also emphasized the priority of strengthening the 2025 National Budget for the well-being of Filipinos.

00:19President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized that the priority projects of the government will be funded next year.

00:27That is the reason why the signing of the National Budget for 2025 was postponed

00:33before the announcement of the signing tomorrow.

00:36The Chief Executive explained that it still needs to be studied well,

00:40especially since there are some changes in the budget request of some government agencies.

00:44And because the National Budget for 2025 is already approved by the Congress,

00:47only the veto power of the Chief Executive can be used to control the spending program of the country for 2025.

00:55I want to be very, very sure that the budget for 2025 is directed at the important projects that we have prioritized, number one.

01:07And secondly, that there is a stronger safeguards on the spending for the different projects.

01:17He also pointed out that the government should be careful on which projects and programs should be prioritized

01:23so that the Filipinos can benefit from it when the country's debt is not growing.

01:29We are starting to see some project proposals that do not have the appropriate program of work,

01:36no appropriate documentation, it is not clear where the money will go.

01:43That is what we will clarify.

01:47It's not as if we don't have a very big budget savings, it's not like that, it's not enough.

01:59That's why we need to be very careful because what we are spending there is not a lot, but it is there, it's a debt.

02:08That's why it needs to go to the right place so that we can pay the debt,

02:12we have a way to pay back for what we spent and what we owe.

02:16And that's what we are trying to clarify now.

02:46And this is my guarantee, my guarantee is very simple.

02:54Even if there is a subsidy, even if there is no subsidy, even if there is a contribution, all of these issues,

02:59the service of PhilHealth will not be reduced.

03:05PhilHealth's payment to the insurance claim will not be reduced.

03:10In fact, we will increase the service that PhilHealth will provide,

03:16we will increase the payment to the insurance claims.

03:22So, I would like to just assure everybody, don't worry that the service will be reduced no matter who.

03:30He also pointed out that the government plans to add more services provided by PhilHealth in the next year.

03:36Nothing will be reduced, not even a cent.

03:40Quite the opposite, we will add that in 2025, the services that PhilHealth will provide will be even more.

03:49The payment that will be given to the insurance claim will be even greater.

03:54So, don't worry, nothing will be lost in the service of PhilHealth.

04:01We are making PhilHealth even better so that it can be given to more people in the country.
