2025 Toyota Yaris Preview

The Toyota GR Yaris is inspired by the brand's successful motorsport involvement and guarantees maximum driving pleasure in everyday life. In addition to a sporty look, it offers numerous technical highlights for maximum performance. In its latest version, the GR Yaris has a further revised three-cylinder turbo engine with 206 kW/280 hp, which develops a torque of 390 Nm. The engine was put through its paces in the Japanese Rally Championship and in the Japanese long-distance touring car series. The electronically controlled, permanent all-wheel drive system GR-FOUR ensures optimal grip and traction. It was specially developed for the vehicle and adjusts the torque distribution between the front and rear wheel drive using a fast-reacting clutch. Two Torsen limited-slip differentials regulate the balance between the left and right wheels. Customers can choose between a manual six-speed sports transmission or the Gazoo Racing direct automatic transmission with eight gears, which enables extremely fast gear changes.
