00:00The Sandigan Bayan has listed the six remaining cases against the Coconut Levy

00:05that were filed against former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.,

00:08former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and others.

00:17The Sandigan Bayan Second Division has listed the last six remaining cases

00:22regarding the misuse of the controversial Coconut Levy funds

00:27against the Marcos family and other personalities.

00:30In the 42-page resolution of the Sandigan Bayan,

00:33it listed the cases against the former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.,

00:38former First Lady Imelda Marcos,

00:40former Senator and current Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile,

00:45the owners of Maria Clara Lobregat, Jesus Pineda, and Cesar Zalamea

00:50because of the inordinate delay or excessive delay in hearing

00:54that violates their right to a quick hearing.

00:57The prosecution said that the filing of evidence and witnesses

01:01has just begun since another case almost four decades ago.

01:06There were also a lot of pleadings for an irrefutable violation of the hearing.

01:11Because of this, all the civil cases against the Marcos family

01:16are now going to disappear to get their illegal funds back

01:20through the Coconut Levy Fund.

01:22The PCGG first refused to answer on the merits of the case

01:26because it violates the sub judice rule.

01:28But despite the filthiness,

01:30the Presidential Commission on Good Government or PCGG did not give up.

01:34They will sign a motion for reconsideration in Sandigan Bayan

01:38and if it is still not given,

01:40they will file a case with the Supreme Court

01:42to question the decision of the Anti-Graft Court.

01:45The dismissal is with respect to certain individuals.

01:49But there are other defendants in the case.

01:53We are confident that we can still prove the other allegations in our complaint

01:59despite the dismissal of the case with respect to certain defendants.

02:04We are looking at certain angles which we will try to study

02:10and argue before the Supreme Court.

02:17If the opportunity presents itself.

02:20In another text message,

02:21Solicitor General Menardo Guevara said

02:23they are already consulting the PCGG on their next legal step.
