Aston Villa have launched a 'bold regeneration' plan for Villa Park, involving a new multi-use venue, a new ticketing office, improved plaza in the North Grounds and improvements to the club shop.

00:00Aston Villa is regenerating the area in front of the historic North Stand, an extraordinary

00:20transformation on a scale as big as the club's ambitions.

00:26But this is not just a construction project, it's about creating a space that means something

00:31to the Villa fans, the Villa Park community and soon to many more.

00:36It's about building on the club's 150-year heritage, while also looking to the future.

00:41Securing Aston Villa's legacy as a powerhouse of sport, culture and community, not just

00:47in Birmingham, but in the West Midlands and beyond.

00:51First, we have the warehouse, once an artillery house, a manufacturing site and most recently

01:02a cricket academy, which I think I played at a few times.

01:06It was due to be destroyed, but has now been repurposed as part of the new site.

01:12New development will preserve its character and Villa's iconic red brick, while regenerating

01:18the space to inspire future generations.

01:21By night, the warehouse will transform into an amazing packed out music venue, with events

01:26all year round from world-class gigs to intimate performances, and a capacity of 3,500.

01:33You can already picture how this space is going to become the go-to destination for music fans.

01:42The match day energy always begins long before kick-off and the new fan zone will be at the

01:47heart of it all.
