00:00On behalf of all the American people, on behalf of our sailors and Marines,

00:03it is my honor now to present this award, Department of the Navy Certificate Award,

00:08an appreciation of distinguished public service to the Department of the Navy.

00:12The Secretary of the Navy Distinguished Public Service Award to Mr. Tom Cruz

00:16for services set forth in the following citation, for distinguished public service

00:20in recognition of the exceptional and wide-ranging contributions made to the Department of the Navy

00:25from 1986 to 2023.

00:27I admire you. I've been with you personally, seeing how much you care

00:34about the service men and women, and I have great respect for you.

00:38Thank you, sir.

00:39We've known each other now these many years, and I really appreciate it. I appreciate

00:43everyone being here. I appreciate you taking the time and for this extraordinary acknowledgement.

00:50And I accept this on behalf of not just myself, but our entire cast, our crew, our writers,
