00:11This is Sheila Salaisay reporting for Balit ng Pambansa.

00:14Good evening, good evening to our listeners.

00:18Ms. Rea, when will the typhoon Kerubin hit the country?

00:24For now, it's affecting some parts of Mindanao,

00:28and the number one signal in Davao Oriental is high.

00:33Meanwhile, this typhoon will cause heavy rains in Visayas and Mindanao.

00:40It's possible for today until the coming days,

00:44particularly until the coming weekend.

00:46So for now, based on our forecast,

00:49it's possible for today until tomorrow,

00:52we will still experience heavy rains.

00:55This typhoon will also affect the Mindanao area as well as portions of Visayas.

01:00Will this affect Metro Manila and Luzon?

01:05For the Metro Manila area, we don't expect this typhoon to affect it.

01:10It's more likely that the typhoon will hit parts of Maula Pangas and Maula Kalangitan.

01:19So this typhoon will only affect Visayas and Mindanao.

01:24How strong is this typhoon Kerubin?

01:28For now, based on our forecast,

01:30it will remain a tropical depression.

01:33While it's affecting the coastal areas of Mindanao,

01:37it's possible that it will weaken and become a low-pressure area.

01:41Based on our forecast,

01:43this low-pressure area will mostly affect Visayas and Mindanao until the coming weekend.

01:51You mentioned that it will rain in Visayas and Mindanao,

01:56but let's talk about Canlaon.

01:58What will be the effect of this typhoon on the volcano?

02:02For now, weather-wise,

02:04when it comes to Mount Canlaon,

02:07we can expect that it will rain for the rest of the week.

02:11So it's possible that there will be a high possibility of lock-air flow as well as flooding.
