00:00My name is Madeleine Mullet and I'm the BFI IMAX Programme Manager here at the BFI IMAX.
00:05So Interstellar is now 10 years old. It's one of our tentpole titles.
00:09We have it on an IMAX 70mm print. We are one of the two cinemas in the UK to hold that IMAX print.
00:17Every screening is just about sold out.
00:19We have this year had about 15,000 people come to see Interstellar, just in the last year alone.
00:26One of the things that is actually really interesting about Interstellar is it's not a dystopian sci-fi.
00:34There's a lot of science behind and it's really interesting and beautiful to watch, but it's not a dystopian film.
00:41It's a real positive, hopeful film and I think the combination of the two is a real draw for audiences,
00:47time and time again, on top of the fact that it's on a visual print that we can screen in 10 years.
00:55So the 70mm IMAX print that we've got actually has the most amount of information you can possibly get on a film print.
01:03One of the things that we do is to ensure that we can see this wonderful art form on a print
01:08because it really comes alive in a different way than digital.
01:13It really is a team that is looking after and caring for film prints in particular
01:17and storing them correctly and cleaning them and, you know, very much a labour of love
01:22so we can present these titles over and over again.
