Motherwell 4-3 Dundee Utd: Reaction to a bonkers Premiership game

00:00Full time here at Firth Park, Mullow 4, Dundee United 3. I don't think many would have called

00:05that scoreline before the game. In the previous two ties this season in the Premier Sports

00:10Cup, the Premiership, it's been 2-1 to Mullow. The three-point steam in the Steelmen didn't

00:15stay the same but the nature of the game did. A chaotic back-and-forth style affair for

00:19the entire 90 minutes. Mullow were ahead inside two minutes through a post of Stamatopoulos.

00:24It was one each after eight minutes. Sam Dalby put Dundee United back on level terms from

00:29the penalty spot. Mullow had a two-goal cushion before the break. Stamatopoulos getting his

00:33second and that came after Andy Halliday had put the Steelmen back ahead. Dundee United

00:39came back into the game in the second half, again reducing the deficit. Sam Dalby making

00:43it a double. Tom Sparrow scoring the fourth but there was a bit of consternation from

00:48the United defenders as to whether it hit Stamatopoulos' hand on the build-up to it.

00:53A Kevin Holt goal, we think anyway, made it 4-3 before the 90 minutes. 94 minutes it went

01:00to a bit of a tense grandstand finish but in the end Mullow see it out and they move

01:04on to a Friday night clash with Kilmarnock under the lights here next week.
