00:00It's my 10 favorite ballgames to discuss here with two of my best buds on the sports grid

00:11We will work in reverse order as we do 10 up to 6 next segment, 5 up to 1.

00:18And here they are only on this side.

00:20All right, as we look at where these things stand right now, we're going to start at 10.

00:25A lot of this is storyline, perhaps it's the X's and O's matchup.

00:30Lacey Guy, we start with the Gasparilla Bowl.

00:33It is on Friday, this upcoming Friday, six days from now, 3.30pm Eastern Time, kick leading

00:39us directly in to Indiana and Notre Dame in a college football playoff.

00:44And it's a game that I am fascinated by.

00:47John Sumrall back at Tulane, but his quarterback Darian Mensah is now at Duke.

00:53Tulane, Billy Napier and the Gators continue the momentum of a 7-5 season with DJ Lagway

00:58to build upon.

00:59I think they can.

01:00And again, you saw the Florida defense come on throughout the regular season.

01:04They were very physical in terms of back-to-back wins over Ole Miss and LSU at the end of the

01:09regular season.

01:10Lagway has come on now.

01:12We know that Tulane has a very physical defense and wants to run the football, but without

01:16Mensah in that lineup, it's going to put a lot of pressure on them.

01:19Sumrall was thought about to be potentially in the running before Bill Belichick took

01:24the job at North Carolina, so does he have one foot out the door early on?

01:28I give the inside edge, Kev, to Florida in this matchup.

01:31Look, I think the big thing is the fact that Lagway didn't hit the portal.

01:34And ultimately, one of the foregone conclusions was not just Billy Napier being fired for

01:38a lot of people.

01:40It was the fact that that would have, and I think it would have, unleashed Lagway into

01:44the portal.

01:45He would have been QB1, one of the highest recruits there.

01:48Obviously, a big get for Billy Napier, so I'm sure that was one of the reasons they

01:52were happy to bring back Billy, because that was supposed to keep Lagway there, and it

01:57has, and I think that's the biggest thing for me in this game, we're excited to bet

02:01it is, how Lagway looks.

02:03Is this somebody who deserves Heisman consideration when we talk next season?

02:08And we will certainly talk that early Heisman look, K-Dubs house, K-Dubs list, who's getting

02:14past the velvet rope, that we shall determine, but a 13 and a half point spread for this

02:19game because it is difficult to handicap bowl season.

02:22We understand, but one of the biggest pieces that you can add to your algo, if you will,

02:28availability, and we expect DJ Lagway to play to ride the momentum for UF.

02:34Next up at number nine, a shout out to you, Joey Mack got the boys to yet another bowl

02:40game, Texas Tech and Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

02:44It is always a fun game, Kev.

02:46The total is 57 and a half.

02:48I expect to see some points between those Red Raiders, bing, bing, and the Hogs.

02:53I mean, Texas Tech playing Arkansas, I think, what?

02:56Is this the Joe Lee season?

02:58I mean, Texas Tech playing LSU, are you the grandmaster?

03:01I should, I think, I don't know, I feel like maybe I just have to back you in this game.

03:10Well, 60 and a half, 61 and a half is the total.

03:15I mean, this game oozes points in Memphis.

03:21I mean, it's going to be a fast track, and we know how bad the Texas Tech defense was

03:25in terms of pass coverage, 305 passing yards allowed per game.

03:28That was one of the worst in terms of college football, and we know that Arkansas likes

03:33to run it.

03:34Kalon Green is coming back.

03:38KJ Jefferson coming back to Fayetteville all of a sudden after that one stint with UCF.

03:57I will say this, early on, I give the inside track, Texas Tech, they've won the last two

04:02bowl games, but points are plenty in this matchup.

04:04I'm glad you brought up Kalon Green, because if you didn't, I was going to ask, hey, do

04:08you know who the Razorbacks' starting quarterback is for this game and next year?

04:12Yes, it is Kalon Green.

04:14Again, those graphics read the entire thing, or at least a couple of words.

04:18Next up at number eight, the Gator Bowl.

04:21Two nine-win teams between Duke and Ole Miss, but the running refs were not expecting to

04:26be in this spot.

05:10That's to me why I have the big smile, is because, listen, I know yesterday some people

05:15were tweeting about how there were no SEC quarterbacks that got inside the top ten of

05:19the highest.

05:20Or players at all.

05:21Or players as a whole.

05:22Yeah.

05:23Which feels wrong, by the way, but we'll leave it at that.

05:25I just think that that is one of those things where a lot of Ole Miss tickets will come

05:30in, because Lane has to prove how much better he is than the ACC.

05:34Well, I'll say, I think the game means more to Duke than it does Ole Miss, just because

05:37Ole Miss had their sights set, potentially, on a college football playoff.

05:41I saw Jackson Dart, and I saw Ole Miss in a rivalry game played down to Miss State,

05:46a sub-500 team that, from a defensive perspective, wasn't good, and they only put up basically

05:5126 points, but it is an intriguing game.

05:54We'll see how it plays out.

06:00We're ready to run through the poorest ACC, well, Lane, in Jacksonville, in just about

06:54It's one of those early season, keep it in the back of your minds, what Vatec was supposed

06:59to be this year, what they were, and then what are those expectations next year?

07:04Because with drones back, they should keep high expectations.
