00:00And out of every Who House he had their holiday in his hands. Here's your

00:03Christmas spot on the BrickCraft Dr. Seuss the Grinch of the Chimney Grinch.

00:22I'd like to thank the kind folks once again over at BrickCraft that kindly did

00:27provide this sample of another brick building set of the Greenfella that

00:30stole their season. Whose season? Exactly. 504 pieces are required on your part so

00:36a little bit of time may be required in order to build the image that you're

00:38seeing right now. What you may also be seeing right now to your left is he does

00:42actually have movable parts more specifically hands arms and hats. Picking

00:46up the box right now it's got a little bit of weight to it on the back of the

00:49box it tells you just exactly how big the set will actually be. 9.1 inches in

00:53height 5.2 inches in width. It also as well gives you an image of what this

00:57will look like in front of your fireplace. My fireplace doesn't look like

01:00that. That looks too good of an image. Down below as well it's compatible with

01:03other name brands and to help of course your journey along the ways of getting

01:06to from point A of opening up the box the point B of getting this to look like

01:10this you of course get yourself an instruction manual. Which I will say the

01:14instruction manual has been pretty kind on me even though I had a rough patch

01:18trying to get through building the wreath. I hope though I'm gonna have an

01:21easier time building the actual set here of the chimney with Grinch. Of course to

01:25see exactly how many presents he's stealing from the Who's down below in

01:28their house. You'll have to wait and see just how long first of all it takes me

01:31to build this and how cool the set actually is once I finally do. So oh how

01:36did it go? I think it went pretty well from the time that I opened up the first

01:39bag of bricks to the final step of putting the arm on the Grinch's body. Two

01:42hours 17 minutes. I know right now people are saying bro that took you a

01:46little longer than that was necessary. Well to be fair I had a few things

01:50playing in the background on TV. I figured while I was completing one goal

01:53why not complete another goal of catching up on some of my favorite

01:56Christmas specials. So while building the Grinch I managed to get through Rudolph

01:59the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosted Snowman and a year without a Santa Claus. What? To

02:04help of course build the Grinch the trusty manual is included by BrickCraft.

02:08Once again a very straightforward easy to understand manual. I know I kind of

02:12got hung up a little bit when I was building the wreath just because

02:15again like the wreath has tiny little leaves and branches to contend with. This

02:18is so straightforward. From the first page well not technically the first page

02:21is just the advertisement of the other Grinch collection that BrickCraft has

02:24put out looking forward to building the fireplace Grinch next. But from step one

02:29all the way to step 167 and step 167 is obviously putting the arm on the Grinch.

02:33168 though is just the time where you get the chance to look at what you've

02:36done. Pat yourself on the back or in this case on my arm. Again like with the

02:41instructions nowhere did I feel confused. I know with kind of the wreath I had to

02:45flip back a few pages kind of just to understand where all the leaves are and

02:48stuff we're supposed to go. But like if you look at the individual steps they

02:51clearly outline first of all what colors of bricks you need, where they have to go,

02:55and how many pieces you need for each of the individual steps. BrickCraft I will

03:00say does a really good job when it comes to their instruction manual. Let's just

03:03move that off to the side. Now there is a little bit of movability on the Grinch

03:06which is pretty cool. We couldn't say that really at all with the with the

03:08wreath. While this arm is stationed you can't move this at all in place just

03:13because the way it's plugged into his body. You most definitely though can move

03:16the Grinch's arm on this side. Each of the fingers by the way though and the

03:19hand for that matter are also in ball joints. This hand here, this hand here. So

03:24you can also move these back and forth as well and each of the individual

03:27fingers. I'm being careful not to bang the Christmas ball. The Christmas ball

03:30actually is just plugged in place. You can see it's just clipped around the

03:33part for his palm but like each of the individual fingers for example can move

03:37in and out and also you can move the thumb too. I probably will end up just

03:41having like the arm of the Grinch kind of up like this the kind of way

03:44they've depicted on the front of the box. Again you can also really rotate

03:47the arm this way too. You would just have to kind of bring the Christmas ball

03:49down just like that. You know what might might even be a better way to do this.

03:54This arm, this hand I should say also is on a ball joint so you can move this

03:57around and each of the individual fingers yeah clipped in place so those

04:01also move freely back and forth. There is also two other places that this moves.

04:05First of all like the Christmas package for example the present does also spin.

04:09There's a little spinning piece on the bottom of the brick here that allows this

04:12to rotate. I don't know why it necessarily rotates it's I suppose just

04:15something else that just gives you something to do when you're looking at

04:18this on display but the cool thing that's also about this is with the the

04:22hat on the Grinch there's a hinge right here where you can move this up and down.

04:25You can also move the Christmas ball too. Now with the actual Grinch face I'm just

04:30gonna move the hand back over here kind of make it look like he's grasping the

04:33the package the present in his hand. The one thing though about the Grinch is I

04:37feel like it's a very similar face the one that we got with the wreath. In fact

04:40size-wise short of the fact that the wreath Grinch had a little bit more of a

04:44furrier rim on the top of his head you couldn't even see both eyebrows. This one

04:48you can actually see both eyebrows clear as day. There's a little bit of also a

04:52sticker printing not that you have to imply apply a sticker but the only part

04:55that's actually printed seems to be the Grinch's eyes. So essentially it's a one

04:58piece brick goes in place and then you put the nose the bridge of the nose and

05:02the mouth over top of it. They've also added a little bit of darker coloring

05:05here on the side. The dark green bricks I guess sort of simulate the smile on the

05:09Grinch's face. It's a really interesting looking Grinch. I really like the set and

05:12it didn't take much time at all. I know two hours and 17 minutes may seem like a

05:16lot but I never had a part where I felt really overly confused. Even like laying

05:20down the bridge you have to literally lay down the bricks you can see that the

05:22way that they they overlay one another like this is a pretty stable piece.

05:27Nothing at all has really fallen off this Grinch unlike the wreath. The only

05:31thing that actually does fall off frequently is the Christmas ball just

05:34because again it's clipped in place. You just want to make sure you don't bang

05:36that. But it's a very strong stable Grinch. Color-wise it's really good

05:40gorgeous as well. Of course you got the bright red hat a little bit of furry

05:43trim. He's got fur trim also around the sleeves of his suit also around the

05:47collar piece around his suit as well. If you look at the inside though and I love

05:51the fact they add all this little snow rim on the top of the chimney but if you

05:55look at the inside the Grinch actually is kind of levitating. I don't know if

05:59you can actually see that or not. He doesn't go all the way down. I don't know

06:02why they didn't have this where it just went all the way down but you know it's

06:05pretty again stable. I've moved this guy around a couple of times. I put this guy

06:09out on my mantle and short of maybe again like the Christmas ball being like

06:12the only thing that's fallen off the figure everything else on him has stayed

06:15pretty generally stable. Again big thank you to the folks over at BrickCraft that

06:19provided this sample of the Up the Chimney Grinch. 504 pieces may seem like

06:24a lot of pieces but I mean like short of just having something kind of

06:27distracting me in the background I probably could have built this a little

06:29bit faster than the two hours and 17 minutes. Again what do you guys think of
