00:10When I was asked to make a movie based on the Lord of the Rings animation,

00:16the first thing that came to my mind was that I was a big fan of the trilogy,

00:22so I thought about how I could portray the world of Tolkien in a live-action movie.

00:32Even though it's only a page and a half in the appendices,

00:35I've always loved the story of Helm's Deep and Helmhammerhead.

00:38I felt it would mesh well with the great Japanese filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama.
