Aaron Taylor-Johnson chats with THR at the premiere for 'Kraven the Hunter' and dishes on training for crazy stunts in the film and going head-to-head with Russell Crowe. Plus, he reveals what the future may hold for 'Kraven the Hunter.'

00:00Congratulations on this film. This is a very physically demanding role, but

00:03there's also a lot of times where you have to be really quick on your feet, so

00:07what would you say was kind of like the craziest drill that you had to run

00:11through while training for this?

00:12Oh, we have a sequence that goes underwater and I get

00:15dragged through the River Thames by a helicopter, which is mad in itself that

00:20that's a sentence. Yeah, we were doing underwater training for that. Yeah, that

00:26took about a week of training and in order to do stuff like that it was kind

00:30of intense and that's just one of many things that we do in this movie.

00:35A lot of crazy stunts. I also want to ask what was it like going toe-to-toe with

00:38Russell Crowe?

00:39Oh man, it was everything. I mean he is a legend. I'm like in

00:42awe of him. A huge fan growing up and still am and he is fantastic in this

00:48movie. He's perfectly menacing, just the way you want to see Russell Crowe and you

00:52know he praised my father and we get these scenes head-to-head and it was

00:56just a moment of being, yeah, sort of a dream, a dream-like moment, you know.

01:01Where do you see Craven's story going next? Is there the possibility of bringing

01:05Spider-Man into the mix? I gotta ask.

01:07I think, you know, this first movie is for

01:10everybody, the audiences, come see it and I think by the end of the

01:13movie you're gonna want to see him go on and it's up to you guys, you know. This is

01:18all over to you now.

01:19Very quickly, we're asking everyone the same

01:21question on the carpet. What is your favorite film of 2024 outside of your own?

01:29Well I'm still yet to see some. I want to see The Brutalist because of

01:32Alessandro Nivola's in that and yeah, I'm gonna say that one. I'm gonna look

01:37forward to some.
