00:54the evacuation of the 5 barangays near Volcano Canlaon is ongoing.
00:59More than 4,200 individuals have been evacuated near the 6-kilometer radius of the volcano.

01:08if ever there is a need to force evacuate all the 5 barangays,
01:13up to 23,000 individuals will need to be evacuated.
01:17That is why the Canlaon City Government has prepared the remaining 7 barangays to serve as evacuation centers.
01:24More than 1.4 million family food packs have been prepositioned for the Canlaon affected families in Region 6 and 7.
01:31While more than 4.39 million relief goods have been distributed by the DSWD to all local government units affected by the eruption of Mount Canlaon.
01:43Yesterday, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian personally visited Negros
01:48to assist the local government unit in looking at the situation of the affected areas
01:53and to assess the additional support that the agency will provide.
01:57The DSWD also prioritized the distribution of more than P590,000 worth family food packs to the Canlaon affected families.
02:05Following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order,
02:08the situation of the evacuees was looked at and help was given immediately.
02:13A medical service is also expected at the evacuation center.
02:17Meanwhile, according to the Canlaon City PIO,
02:20it has been dark for the past five days and it has been raining heavily in Canlaon City.
02:24That is why it is possible for the eruption of Mount Canlaon and Lahar-Omadi Streamflow to occur in the affected areas.
02:30The local government is suspending all social gatherings in Canlaon City for this December.
