It was billed as the hottest night of the year, featuring some of the biggest international

artists, and Radio 1 Live didn't disappoint. Around 3,000 people turned out at Dubai's

tennis stadium for the invite-only event, which was supported by some of the UAE's

top DJs and musicians.

The event is a first for Dubai, a packed-out concert broadcast live on the radio.

On the bill was a mix of international and local talent. UAE band Abri have shot to fame

this year with their debut album, Sunchild, and they had some advice for other local bands

trying to get their foot in the door.
