00:00Head down to the beach and you'll be sure to find sun worshippers on the quest for that

00:08perfect tan.

00:10But with blue skies all year and the mercury hitting the mid to high 40s in summer, you

00:15could be doing more harm than good by soaking up the Dubai sunshine.

00:20So are people really concerned about sunburn or even skin cancer?

00:23I worry about sunburn but I happen to have the type of skin that tends to go brown if

00:29I was paler I would be more concerned and we're perhaps we're a factor 30.

00:34With increased exposure to sunshine in the summer months, doctors are warning you could

00:38be getting sunburned and not even notice it.

00:41Like skin type 1 and 2, like very very fair people, Irish skin, blue, green, white, blonde

00:48hair, they are gleef to not having ability to tan at all.

00:53People with blonde hair and fair complexions need to be particularly careful under the

00:57glaring sun, especially if they have multiple moles or if their family has a history of

01:02skin cancer.

01:03Like they should not select the peak hours of the day for activity, like from 11 to 4

01:08pm and then they should have full protective clothing if they are going outdoor.

01:14If they are exposing themselves then they should use high protection factors, sunscreen

01:1930 plus and if they are indulging in water-based activities then they should be really apply

01:26sunscreen once every hour.

01:28Experts say there's a risk of sunburn even on overcast days because UV rays can get through

01:34the clouds.

01:35And if people don't slap on the sunblock when they head out to the beach, the embarrassment

01:39of being a little red could be the least of their worries.
