Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has a warning for haters: ‘Don’t mess with a mad man’

00:02and then they think that okay now we are the bosses we are the mafias

00:06we'll take over everybody who are you who are singers who are composers who are we are the mafias

00:11don't you do don't you dare do that with me because you know you should be scared of mad people I'm mad

00:19were you very keen to get back on stage as an artist as well were you missing it and

00:24you know I know you've done virtual concerts which I enjoyed tremendously

00:28but you have to tell me did you miss that interaction that you have with

00:31people the kind of sounds you hear nothing can compare to live concerts

00:36no amount of virtual prowess can take over the the grandeur of a live concert

00:46even if we have a small number of audience when you're singing live

00:50you are feeding off each other's energies it is going to be very emotional for all of us

00:55all the musicians are very because earlier Dubai and India international flights were not working

01:02but now they're working we had to fix this concert much before that so we were not even

01:08expecting our team to be in Dubai thankfully they are so now we have a mixture of musicians

01:13and technical team from India and most of it from here so it's a truly global concert

01:20as an artist do you fear how people are going to react perhaps to your concert will they come in

01:26numbers etc what are your fears we don't have that kind of stress because

01:31a huge number of people have already booked the tickets and a huge number of people are coming

01:35from India so they are specially turning up from India that there are some friends of mine who are

01:41turning up from UK to watch this concert because everybody is taking it personally you see it is

01:49not no longer just my concert it's a statement that Dubai wants to make it's a statement that

01:55the people who are music lovers who art lovers who they want to make a statement you have had a very

02:01very tumultuous lockdown as well you took on the biggest

02:09do you look back on that episode or have you moved on because you you were very clear about

02:14what you were saying very clear you know there was there were no gray areas in your

02:19statements so when you took them on are you now reconsidering or what was required

02:26was attended to at that point I lead a life on my you know my life is not about other people and

02:38for me when I see something praiseworthy I praise it when I see something which is

02:44objectionable I raise my doubts on it and I bring it on forefront there is no agenda in my life

02:51I don't see myself as a crusader or anybody but at the same time I don't think people should

02:59take me lightly if somebody takes me lightly then I show them my true colours because I'm

03:04not scared of anybody I have a lot of courage in my life so when I'm if I'm smooth sailing let me

03:10smooth sail but if you you know put your feet on my pooch on my tail then I'm going to show you

03:16man at this point I you know there is a unexpressed truce which is fine which is fine with me as long

03:26as you lead your own life I lead my own life do not mess with me and not to mess with you in this

03:45you should be scared of mad people I'm mad so when you when you try to instigate a madman

03:52then it the madman can become very crazy and I can see that in the film industry there is a

03:58girl I love and respect her she's also a mad woman and I like her I like her that way

04:04it's very important to be mad because people sometimes don't understand the language of love

04:08it's important to be mad sometimes and I think she you know she has her stories to say and she

04:14has her I trust it and I also I'm not I don't belong to the category of people who you know

04:21everything else is wrong and I am absolutely holier than thou I understand that there are

04:26faults in every areas but yes you should not mess with people who have no fear of losing
