More than 150 people from various government agencies, including the police and three non-governmental Sikh organisations had come together over the weekend (Dec 7 & 8) to clean homes, carry debris and wash household furnitures at four villagers in Perak which were badly hit by the recent floods.

00:49last 48 hours actually the team has been packing things so we have a hygiene pack

00:57we have a food pack we have brought some crockery and some household matters so

01:02that those people who are affected by the floods will get some relief basically

01:07went to homes in this Tanjung Tin area in Kampung Pasir area in the six

01:16settlement area and I Papan where multiple number of homes have been

01:22actually underwater since last Monday with the you know the river which

01:28currently is on my right hand side the river here basically overflowed and got

01:32into this area whereby more than 50 to 70 homes are affected example this home

01:39where we are standing in front the water was up to this level they managed to save

01:44themselves but a lot of the household things were all destroyed and you know

01:49as you know United Sikhs represent a very strong logo and a very strong theme

01:56which is basically recognize the human race as one so since the last since last

02:0048 hours we have been serving all all races Malays Indian Chinese the Sikhs

02:08and anybody else foreigners and locals equally so that when a disaster like

02:15this happens everybody is affected and we've seen some really very sad

02:20situations where a lot of very very old ladies and aunties were being stuck in

02:25the homes today they are alone trying to clean their homes it's very very sad

02:30situation we urge people to come and help the rest of the people here because

02:35a lot of people a lot of help not required their homes fully with water

02:39there's a very strong stench in this whole area and and that one will take a

02:45long long time to get rid and you can see you know I'm standing in water here

02:48as well because the condition here is the water hasn't gone down and people

02:53have even affected by rashes we will have you will continue to work with the

02:59locals here so that we can serve all and feed everybody that requires any help if
