00:05and dear friend, Rae. Between her one-of-a-kind vocals and tone quality, her

00:11use of gripping chords and sultry melodies, I was instantly drawn to her

00:15sound. I had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with Rae at Lollapalooza

00:20this summer in Chicago. Rae joined me for a jazz standard, which I didn't know if

00:25anyone at Lollapalooza would do, halfway through my set. The moment she joined me on

00:30stage and took my hand, I was at ease and I was very nervous. So you really have

00:37that effect on people. Rae has proved time and time again that remarkable

00:42songwriting and artistry comes from years of hard work, dedication, and

00:47vulnerability. She uses her light to shine on community around her, fighting

00:52for the equity of songwriters and music creators. Rae is a fearless visionary,

00:57role model, and strong advocate for the songwriting community. There's no one I
