00:00You said how difficult Arsenal's set-piece is. I noticed you made a change to the preparation
00:05where Carlos comes out into the technical area rather than Andres Jorginho, who is the
00:10set-piece coach. What's the thinking behind that?
00:13The thinking is that Carlos is responsible for the set-pieces, different staff. Andres
00:18is also there to help and that's it. That's the reason.
00:25Is Arsenal the best team you've come up against in terms of corners and set-pieces?
00:29I think if you follow Premier League for a long time you can see that. They are also
00:35big players for that and you can see it in every occasion that Saka and Martinell has
00:41one against one. A lot of times they go outside, they cross. They already know that if the
00:48cross is going well they can score, if it's a corner they can score. So we have to be
00:54better in that situation. But like in every area of our game we need time to improve also.
01:02But you can see in all Arsenal games that every team has a problem with that.
01:10What's the changes tonight and the changes within the game? Is that something that you
01:14plan in advance? How many games in advance are you going to do that kind of stuff? Because
01:17I appreciate you've got to rotate the rest of the players and see who can work in different
01:21positions.
01:21It's not because I like to change all the time, but we have to have all the squads fit.
01:30For example, Harry Maguire has a time limit, Tama László has a time limit, Mason Mount
01:37has a time limit, Lenny Oro has a really time limit. So we have to manage winning games,
01:43different methodology, different way of playing, more metres to press. Tomorrow we have to
01:50assess and the guys that have a little bit of risk to some injury, they will not play.
01:56So we have to have everybody to work, to play and to improve the squad.
02:02Can you say in the first half as well that you were frustrated that the players weren't
02:06quite going totally for the attack and taking possession too much?
02:10We didn't have the time. We worked a lot on building up. You can see the structure,
02:16you can see the idea, you can see the bounce when the central backs to the midfielders,
02:21you can see that. But then in the last part, the last third, you can see that we need to
02:27improve, be more aggressive, more ideas. But that part is more difficult to improve without
02:37a lot of training.
02:40Was there anything positive that you took from that game tonight?
02:44Well, I make the evaluation of a game, regardless of the result. Like I said, the 4-0,
02:53you can take positive things but you have to improve and you already knew that.
03:00But you can feel it in the first half, especially in the end of the first half,
03:04you can feel that they were not comfortable. You can feel it in the stadium. So you can take that.
03:10We had one day to put a strategy and they can cope with that. They block,
03:16especially the right side of Arsenal, with a lot of players there.
03:20We managed to control very well this moment. I think the difference today was the set-pieces.
03:26Because the set-pieces, you see a goal and then the momentum changes and it's really
03:34hard for us to take full control of the game. But we tried and it was that, the set-pieces.
03:46You were speaking about fitness within the sports. Luke Shaw has posted on social media
03:51about an unfortunate injury set-back that he suffered. I wondered if you could
03:57say any more detail about what exactly the nature of the injury is and the timeline?
04:03No, that I don't know. It is hard when you have an injury. The coach says how many days
04:09you will need to recover. What I can say, since I arrived, I see him in the medical department,
04:20working a lot in the gym, working a lot on the pitch. We control the load during the games,
04:27during the training. He was losing weight, so he was doing everything.
04:33If he continues with that behaviour, he's a top, top player and we need him.
04:38So, no matter how long he will need, I will be with him. We will help him to return because
04:46not just Manchester United but also your national team needs a guy like Luke Shaw.
04:51So we are here to help him.
04:53Before the game, you said there was a storm coming.
04:56Was this the storm tonight?
05:00I have to be careful what I say. If you follow football, you understand these moments. You know
05:11what can happen in these moments. I came from sporting, I live the same situation. It's not
05:20the same situation but it's a big club. You know that everything is okay when you lose one game.
05:26Everything is not okay. So, I'm expecting that. Sometimes I'm too strong with the words.
05:34What I'm saying is that sometimes you have bad moments when you are changing so many things
05:40in order to improve.
05:41Can it be a good thing to lose? Can it help you? If you see your team losing,
05:45do you learn more about your players?
05:46No, I prefer to learn winning games. That is really clear. But I learned the same
05:53last game 4-0 and I learned a lot. I could see that we have a lot to improve.
06:00The same today. But I can take some positives from today. Especially in the way they cope
06:07with the strategy and they block the game. We need to improve in the different areas of the team.
