00:00Bo Nix, the rookie quarterback, drafted 12th overall, the 6th and final, QB taken in the

00:08opening round of the 2024 NFL Draft, took his lumps, but learned from that experience

00:14and started to guide Denver to some wins.

00:17It felt early on, maybe just a flash in the pan, but they would come back down to earth

00:22and probably not hold on to a playoff spot at the end of the year.

00:26Scott, entering the final five weeks of the season, in the last four games for Denver,

00:31it feels like this Broncos team is going to be in the postseason, minus 250 now, for Denver

00:37to be an AFC playoff team.

00:39Yeah, it's really, you know, that win last night, you know, as every win is, really is

00:44just crushing whether you're Cincinnati or Miami, and I know both teams lost, but you

00:48know, realistically, if Denver would have lost again last night, then it just kind of

00:52kept Cincinnati and Miami in that position of, okay, right there, you know, chance to

00:57make a run, but now, it would take a monumental collapse, you know, for the Broncos not to

01:01get in, Ben.

01:02Isn't it funny how it works out, right?

01:04I mean, the Broncos pay a fortune to Sean Payton to bring him in to what, to work with

01:08Russell Wilson, you know, one year, and basically he's kicked out the door, even though his

01:14numbers weren't horrible last year, but obviously they didn't have the success they wanted.

01:17Everyone thought, okay, Russell's done, everyone's questioning Sean Payton, and here we are,

01:22a year later, and then they talk about Russell Wilson being done, you know, have to throw

01:26him for 400 yards out the window completely.

01:29He's having success, but with Pittsburgh, and then you bring in, you know, a rookie

01:33quarterback, and all of a sudden, okay, it's the end for Sean Payton, and here he is at

01:37eight and five, and he's, you know, he's got a bright future if Knicks is going to continue

01:42along this path, so it's just kind of weird.

01:44Why didn't it work out last year with Russell?

01:47I don't know, but it's obviously working out for both parties this season.

01:51Yeah, for Denver last year, though, just a game below 500, maybe a little bit better

01:55than most anticipated.

01:56Scott, for me, I'm nine yards away from hitting what might be my best bet ever made in the

02:02NFL offseason, Bo Nicks over a season-long passing yards prop of 2,850 and a half.

02:09Bo Nicks right now, 2,842 after throwing for 294 last night.

02:14A touchdown, multiple interceptions for Bo Nicks in a game for the first time since the

02:19second game of his NFL career way back in week number two.

02:24He has been pretty consistent and efficient.

02:26Honestly, two great plays made by Cleveland's Denzel Ward last night to have a part in both

02:32of those INTs of Bo Nicks.

02:36Cortland Sutton, a huge game for this Denver team as well.

02:40Outside of that, Scott, the season-long outlook for the Broncos.

02:43As we shared, a few more divisional games still await.

02:46We'll get the Chiefs in the regular season finale at home.

02:50We'll see exactly how important that game is for KC by the time we reach the end of

02:54the season, if Kansas City needs it for playoff positioning, what that might look like.

02:58I think so, because the Bills are going to be challenging them down the stretch for that

03:02best overall record.

03:04They have the Chargers on the docket as well.

03:07Denver really should be a playoff team with that two-game advantage.
