00:02A rough football season has come to a close

00:05and so too has Ryan Walter's time as head coach at Purdue University.

00:09Purdue's athletic director Mike Babinski released a statement yesterday afternoon

00:14saying that the school had decided to make a change in leadership.

00:17The announcement comes after the Boilermakers ended a conference win free season

00:22with a loss of 66-0 against longtime rival Indiana University.

00:27Babinski also said in that statement a national search for a new head coach is already underway.

00:33Purdue student and sports fan Dean Nesko has some ideas for who that should be.

00:40Drew Brees, I mean you get in here, Purdue legend, quarterback, change the entire culture,

00:45you get Drew Brees in here, you have so many people who would want to come to Purdue,

00:48fans would be coming crazy, you want people playing for Drew Brees, that's why I think it's the best option.

00:53But Dean says he understands getting Brees back in Ross-Ade might be a pipe dream,

00:58especially with the reported almost $10 million buyout Walters is set to receive over the next three years.

01:05I think yeah, it'll probably affect a lot who they hire because you can't go big with that money right there.
