Do you use AI in your workplace?
00:07
More than 70% of desk workers want to become AI experts.
00:12
Between September 2023 and August 2024, AI adoption steadily increased around the world,
00:19
growing from 20% of the global desk worker population to 36%.
00:26
However, almost 50% of all desk workers would feel uncomfortable admitting to their manager
00:32
that they have used AI for common workplace tasks.
00:36
The top reasons for employees' discomfort are feeling like using AI is cheating, fear
00:41
of being seen as less competent, and fear of being seen as lazy.
00:47
In Sweden, 86% of employees feel uncomfortable revealing that they use AI to write messages
00:54
to their colleagues or co-workers of the same level.
00:57
In France, this applies to 65% of workers, while in Italy, the proportion declines to
01:03
61%, 62% in Spain, and 58% in Germany.
01:09
Despite the unease regarding AI use, three out of four desk workers say that they prefer
01:15
AI-savvy employers.
01:17
This trend is likely to accelerate as people in their first job are 1.8 times more likely
01:24
to say AI enablement is a very important factor in their job search.
