US President Joe Biden vowed to continue the fight against AIDS that affects 40 million people around the world, according to the White House.
Biden addressed survivors, advocates and families of victims at a White House event commemorating World AIDS Day on Sunday, December 1. Sections of the AIDS Memorial Quilt were on display at the White House for the first time in the quilt's decades-long history.
"Together, we honor the spirit of resilience and the extraordinary strength of people, families, and communities affected by HIV AIDS, " Biden said.
