00:38In a recent development, Nayanthara's lawyer has responded, stating that their clients

00:43have not violated any copyright laws.

00:47Rahul Dhawan, representing the actress, clarified that the footage used in the documentary was

00:53from the actor's personal library and was not owned by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films

00:58Pvt. Ltd.

01:00On November 16, the Dhawan actress posted an open letter on Instagram wherein she criticised

01:07Dhanush for stooping to an all-time low after he demanded a compensation of Rs 10 crore

01:13from her.

01:14The demand stemmed from a three-second clip from Nayanthara's film, Nanum Rowdy Dhan,

01:20produced by Dhanush, which was used in the docu-series trailer.

01:24An excerpt from Nayanthara's lengthy letter read,

01:27What's even more shocking is your legal notice after the release of the trailer of

01:33the Netflix documentary.

01:35We were startled to read those lines wherein you questioned the usage of some videos, just

01:41three seconds, which were shot in our personal devices, and that too, BTS visuals that are

01:48already very much publicly present on social media and claimed a sum of Rs 10 crores as

01:54damages for the mere three seconds.

01:57This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character.

02:01I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front

02:06of your innocent fans, but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not

02:10for me and my partner.
